In a Special Member Meeting on May 30, 2014, the Members of ColumbiaGrid unanimously authorized ColumbiaGrid to enter into the Variable Transfer Limits (VTL) Functional Agreement by and between ColumbiaGrid and all eight of the Members.

Also on May 30, 2014, immediately following the Special Member Meeting, ColumbiaGrid’s Board of Directors authorized ColumbiaGrid to execute the Variable Transfer Limits Functional Agreement and also authorized ColumbiaGrid to enter into an agreement with a vendor to perform the Statement of Work and Study Methodology developed by a collaboration between ColumbiaGrid members, NTTG’s members, PNGC, and CAISO to study VTL on the Northwest AC Intertie, Bonneville’s network system, and possibly the other Bonneville interties.

WHAT OUR MEMBERS SAY

Chelan County PUD

"Chelan PUD is a strong supporter of ColumbiaGrid and the work that’s accomplished through the transmission Planning and Expansion Functional Agreement (PEFA). As a result of that process, the mid-C utilities (Chelan, Grant and Douglas PUDs) and Bonneville Power Administration were able to reach an agreement that defined the need for a new transmission line, as well as determine who will construct, own and pay for the facility. Those difficult decisions were made successful through the expert and independent expertise of the ColumbiaGrid staff."
~~ Chad Bowman, Director - Transmission and Compliance
