DTC TF Phase 3 Report

The Phase 3 Report for the DTC Task Force has been posted and completes the assignment given to the Task Force in October 2010.   The report includes a methodology for calculating Transfer Variability Limits and presents some preliminary analysis for four paths within the WECC.  Some of the proposed next steps include hosting a 2nd Phase 3 webinar and convening a WIST meeting on 24 January 2012 to prioritize commercial issues related to dynamic transfers that could be addressed by a WIST mandated Commercial / Policy Task Force.   Comments / feedback on the report are encouraged and should be sent to Marv Landauer [email protected] by 17 January 2012.

Chelan County PUD

"Chelan PUD is a strong supporter of ColumbiaGrid and the work that’s accomplished through the transmission Planning and Expansion Functional Agreement (PEFA). As a result of that process, the mid-C utilities (Chelan, Grant and Douglas PUDs) and Bonneville Power Administration were able to reach an agreement that defined the need for a new transmission line, as well as determine who will construct, own and pay for the facility. Those difficult decisions were made successful through the expert and independent expertise of the ColumbiaGrid staff."
