Hardev Juj Elected to ColumbiaGrid's Board of Directors

In an open public Special Member Meeting on August 23, Hardev S. Juj, P.E., was elected to ColumbiaGrid’s Board of Directors for a three-year term. His term on ColumbiaGrid’s Board of Directors began immediately upon his election and will run into August 2021.

Mr. Juj will serve alongside current Board members Ed Sienkiewicz (chair) and Jim Miller. Mr. Juj has been elected to fill the Director position that had been filled by Kris Mikkelsen, who retired from the Board of Directors at the expiration of her term having served on the Board of Directors since April 2013. Mr. Juj retired from Bonneville Power Administration as their Vice President of Transmission Planning in 2015. Prior to his years at Bonneville Power, he had worked in various engineering roles for Seattle City Light and Tacoma Power. In conjunction with his election to ColumbiaGrid’s Board of Directors, Mr. Juj plans to resign from a director position that he currently holds on an industry-related board of directors for a Northwest corporation where he currently serves as that board’s Chair.

“Hardev brings a wealth of planning knowledge and a long history of experience with Federal and municipal utilities within ColumbiaGrid’s footprint to the Board of Directors. His expertise will enable the corporation to continue to excel and thrive and our Members will be well-served by the combined talents of all three Directors,” said Patrick Damiano, ColumbiaGrid’s president and CEO.

"In ColumbiaGrid, we now have the ability to resolve the three fundamental transmission questions: What transmission facilities should be built? Who should build them? Who should pay for them? With ColumbiaGrid's independent staff and process to resolve disputes, we can answer these questions effectively and in a timely fashion to facilitate our region's new resource development needs."
